This section is designed to encourage teachers to question the traditional lecturing and testing methods of teaching. The activities in this section could fit anywhere in the study of biology. Included are kinesthetic activities, writing activities, research papers, review games, creative writing activities and methods of alternative assessment like team games, ecosystem dioramas, and concept maps. We hope that you can use the ideas in this section as a springboard to enhance your teaching of evolutionary concepts. Most of these activities can be changed and applied to any biological concept. All students do not learn in the same way. Some students are kinesthetic learners, while others may learn through research, games, writing, talking or even rapping. Have fun!
