Activity Description of "Making and Using a Database"
| Title | Making and Using a Database |
| Audience | General, science skills |
| Abstract | This activity is designed to introduce beginning science students to database computer skills. It provides them with a task to look up information to put into a database and then to search the database for information. If different computers are used to input data, the teacher will need to combine the data into a single database for students to complete various tasks involving information-gathering. I use the exercise in a 9th grade Foundations of Science class. |
