| Title | Don't Get Rid of That Old Apple II ! |
| Audience | All science teachers |
| Abstract | While most teachers can't afford a class set of computers
for everyone to use, they can afford a class set
of Apple II's. These machines can be used as probes
and sensors for laboratory activities. They can
be used for all levels / grades of science. Author
was given 11 Apple II's that were going to be discarded.
For approximately $250 they were fitted with Voltagle Input Unit
that are capable of using probes/sensors from the
Vernier company. Probes /sensors that my science
dept. already had: dissolved oxygen, EKG, Light,
magnetic field, force gauges, photogates, heart rate
monitors, pH, temperature, etc. They can also use
the computers as graphing programs to manipulate the
data collected with the probes /sensors.
