Activity Description of "Hunting Dilemma"

Title Hunting Dilemma
Audience Middle/High School Biology and Environmental Science
Abstract Hunting is one of those controversial issues which has strong opinions on both sides. Sometimes those opinions are based on feeling instead of fact. This activity illustrates how you can interest your students in the hunting dilemma by relating it to a local problem. The overpopulation of deer has caused controversy in many areas of the country. Other issues you might use are the reintroduction of wolves. The students really participate better when the issue hits home, instead of being a scenario out of the textbook.
