An Ominous Victim
"Guggh," wheezes Zack, and points back out the door. You
and Fran hear footsteps approaching.
A huge man staggers into the lab, immense hands wiping
at his eyes. He's covered with bloodstains, and blood drips from his
fingers and eyes.
"Criminy," breathes Fran.
The man collides with the table holding the photometer,
scattering papers everywhere. Trying to steady himself, one massive
hand sends a rack of glassware flying.
"I'm outta here," gasps Zack, and flees for the back room.
The man reels toward you and Fran, shaking hands outstretched,
blood coursing off his fingers. With a scream Fran bolts for the back
room. You hear more equipment shatter.
The man takes a step closer.
