The SUV is spinning in fat lazy
circles across the highway. Nora turns the wheel - no effect. "Hydroplaning,"
she announces.
Dark trees loom in the mist. Then the giant hand of physics
takes hold of the SUV and gently turns it upside
down.
You and Nora hang by your seatbelts. The windshield wipers

flap around spastically until Nora flicks them off. She
tries the phone - nothing.
You both listen to the rain for a bit.
"Okay," she says. "Worst-case scenario.
Dont unbuckle your belt until youre totally ready to drop
onto your head."
