My name is Jenny Trombley, and I am a high school science teacher in the Northeast section of New York State. I teach Chemistry labs, Physics, and college Biology at Ausable Valley High School, a rural school which is located right outside of Lake Placid, home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics. In fact, from our school parking lot, one can get a magnificent view of Whiteface Mountain. I also live very close to Lake Champlain, the 6th largest freshwater lake in the US, and home of Champy!
I have been teaching for 5 years; having worked in a clinical laboratory the previous 15 years, and then three years in a doctor's office. My undergraduate degree is a BS in Medical Technology and my master's degree is a MS in Teaching with a concentration in Biology. I am certified in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and General Science. I love teaching, but I like to keep my hands in the clinical field, so I do air sampling for am area Allergist/Immunologist.
I am married and have two children; a daughter, age 16 and a son, age 9.
Something exciting about myself is that I was able to fulfill one of my dreams this summer of going to Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama. What a time! I am enjoying the class thus far, but am trying to play catch up with a full load and this course; as I'm sure we all are!
