Crickets As Thermometers

Procedure

1. Listen to the cricket sounds.
   • Your teacher will play a tape of cricket sounds. You must count how many sounds the cricket makes in one minute. The temperature for each minute of sounds will be given.
   • If a tape is not available, use this sample data (click here if your browser can't view tables).
2. Enter The Data onto the spreadsheet.
3. Place your data in Ascending Order.
4. Use the Spreadsheet Function.
5. Set up your plot.
6. Set the Minimum And Maximum values for the X and Y axes.
7. Produce a Best Fit line.
8. Using Graphlink To Make A Copy Of Your Graph.
