Ethicist

An ethicist is a person who studies moral issues. A bioethicist is a person who studies moral issues related to medical or life science issues.

Many people have concerns about genetic engineering, including the altering of agricultural products, cloning plants and animals and cloning humans. Ethicists study the moral arguments concerning these questions.

Ethics Report

The Ethics report must: 

• contain background on ethics and genetic engineering
• contain background on ethics related to this product, if applicable
• present balanced information on potential ethical problems and advantages with the product
• address any potential problems with materials, procedures or personnel which may cause changes in the timeline

The ethicist has the main responsibility for this report.
