Britannica

  July 1998 Encyclopedia Britannica's Internet Guide has rated AE the Best of the Web site for the Biology category within "Science, Technology,and Mathematics". This is their highest rating.

Citeline     Citeline has given AE a Valuable Resource award affirming that AE contains relevant and valuable heath care information.

Go Network   December 1999 Go Network has selected AE for their Science topic page. AE is a three star website and one of the best for its subject area.

Health Explorer   January 1997 AE was given Health Explorer's "Best Site" in the category of Physicians and Specialists - Microbiology.

  January 1997 Lycos says AE is brimming with bits that maintain the programs' ideals: to increase interaction among high school biology teachers, scientists, and biology resources: "Top 5% Review" in science education.

Magellan Internet Guide   April 1996 Magellan designates AE a "3 Star" site. The rating is a special mark of achievement whose directory has nearly 2 million sites and 40,000 reviews.

  July 2000 AE has been highly rated by Schoolzone's panel of 400 expert teachers. This is in recognition of the fact that it is a good educational site: useful for teaching and learning and easy to navigate

  March 2000 Study Web declares AE is a fund of information for teachers and students of biology, with scientific mysteries that students can solve online, a section of historic perspectives in biology, and activities and thought problems submitted by teachers.
