My Activity

I teach biology and AP biology at Marquette High School, Rockwood School District, West St. Louis County. I supervised the construction of a wetland built on campus in 1998, and used a $5,000 grant from the Missouri Department of Conservation to turn it into an outdoor classroom. This fall we saw a mink in the area! More recently I've engaged students in landscaping projects including iris gardens. In the spring we help a school for the handicapped host an iris show. Irises can be used in many class activities. A local chapter of the American Iris society will help you get started.
