Staples High School
I teach beginning Biology, as well as a course in Comparative Anatomy & Physiology. My overall approach is an interdisciplinary one, bridging the gap not only between the sciences, but between science and the other disciplines. I have long been interested in animal behavior, having studied Orangutans at the San Francisco Zoo as a teenager. I grew up in California, started teaching there in 1991, and moved to Connecticut in 1993. I have been happily married since 1987;my wife Joan and I have a wonderful daughter named Emma, who was born in 1992.
