I teach in a two teacher agriculture program in central Missouri. We have a unique program in that we have an on-site embryo transfer lab which enables our students to experience an area of biotechnology in a very "hands-on" manner. We can non-surgically remove embryos from beef or dairy animals, split the embryos to create twins, freeze the embryos cryogenically, or transplant them into recipient animals. We have also just constructed a 20' x 80' greenhouse for the plant science area of our curriculum. I have a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University and taught seven years on the university level before returning to the high school classroom in 1995.
